We were looking for a small microwave, and the footprint of this one fit the bill. Small microwaves tend to be pretty wimpy as far as power, and this one is no exception, and even on the extra wimpy end of wimpy. It seems to take several tries to get a plate of leftovers hot. Also, it doesn't have any kind of "express" function, where you hit a button and it goes for 30 or 60 seconds. That's a handy feature and I was surprised not to see it. So, if you want something small for melting butter or heating your lukewarm coffee, this is okay choice. This was purchased for a hotel room. In order to turn the thing on, one must use a side to side sweeping motion. It cannot be a push on the button touch. If this was a home microwave where only a couple people were using it this would be OK, because we would figure it out and then use the same motion each time. But to have a bumbling stumbling guest attempt to use it and not be able to turn it on is bad. On the first day it was in the room, new from the box, we actually received a bad goggle review saying the microwave was on its last legs and they couldn't find the sweet spot to turn it on. Hotels lifelines depend on reviews. This did not make me happy.Once upon a time, I ordered this microwave while deployed to a cold shi—- fob in Afghanistan because it could ship to an APO address, so I could keep my coffee hot while I worked in a drafty shack all day. It showed up surprisingly quickly, as I recall. For three days I was as happy as could be to have it, and then I got sent off on a week long mission elsewhere. I got some miserable Flu or something while I was gone, and when I came back K couldn’t wait to enjoy keeping my hot beverages....hot. Alas, not two weeks after its arrival in country, my microwave had given up the fight. It was great if I wanted to entertain my mug by mouthing it up and spinning it around, but heat was not an option. You can’t just throw electronics away or send them for recycling in that environment, so the microwave met its end with a fire hatchet out back of the tents, so we could strip the wiring out and dispose of the parts properly. Now the HATCHET I could write a positive review for. That part was very satisfying.Caught on fireI ordered this microwave for two reasons:1. It was advertised to have the possibility of turning off the annoying ding that rings every so many minutes if you forget to open the door. It does NOT have this function. It does have a particularly annoying bing! which continues no matter how long you try to ignore it.2. After only four days of occasional use, the turntable started to grind during the cooking process. It does still heat the food, but I am aware that it will break soon.Perfect for the jobIt great for needing a smaller micro wave fits on counter doesn’t take up to much room..This microwave has plenty of power to heat food quickly.
